corned beef & cabbage

Light some good candles! We are cooking corned beef with cabbage tonite.
Trying to get some luck of the Irish.

ingredients:
1 corned beef brisket or round with spice packet
2-3 cups of water
1 bunch of green onions
1 head of cabbage, sliced
¾ bottle of beer
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1-2 tablespoons spicy mustard

instructions:
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Add enough water to cover the corned beef in dutch oven, and stir in spices to combine. During the first hour of cooking the corned beef, cut the onions and cabbage into wedges. Add vegetables and beer then continue to cook for 1 hour. Mix brown sugar and spicy mustard. Spread mixture on top of corned beef. Continue to cook for additional 30 minutes.
To serve, cut corned beef against the grain into thin slices and accompany with the cooked vegetables.
