chinese food | Dutch's egg rolls
Get your fry daddy out for this recipe! Our good family friend, Dutch, has mastered Chinese culinary skills at home. These egg rolls are yummy. I’m cooking the sweet and sour pork tonight as well. I can't wait!

1 bag cole slaw mix
Peanut oil
pinch of star of anise
1/2 tsp salt
1 clove garlic
4 tbl soy sauce
1/2 lb shrimp, chicken or pork
1 pkg egg roll wrappers
1 can water chestnuts
1 batch green onions
optional- fresh mushrooms, celery, bamboo shoots
instructions:
Heat oil in a wok add meat and cook 1 min. Add remaining ingredients and stir fry thoroughly. Place in a bowl and refrigerate until cooled. Pour one bottle of peanut oil in wok and heat on high. Put 4 tbl. filling in each wrapper, fold and seal with an egg white. Slowly add egg rolls to oil and cook until lightly browned. Remove from wok and let drain for a few minutes.
