hunter's soup

Still feeling little winter chill? This simple soup will warm you right up. My grandmother Gregory would prepare and add to a thermos for my grandfather when he would go pheasant hunting. She also would serve with Canadian bacon sandwiches.

When Brendon went fishing in Canada last fall, I was sure to pack the ingredients. It was a hit and is now part of his “hunting” tradition.

ingredients:
1 can tomato soup
1 can beef broth
1 can water
¼ teaspoon thyme
¼ teaspoon marjoram
Bay leaf
Garlic and onion powder to taste

instructions:
Mix all together. Heat but do not boil.
